The Health Program of BLESS offers various medical services to targeted communities—including childhood vaccinations, medical examinations and treatments, and specialized women’s health initiatives. Additionally, as part of BLESS’ sustainable development model, the Health Programme also facilitates health seminars and classes within targeted communities and supports local health cadres to be capable of providing emergency response services in developing communities.
The Primary Objective of the Health Program is to increase the general health and awareness of targeted communities, ensuring that all community members have access to sustainable medical services.
Lack of access to basic health services continues to pose a threat to developing communities. The Egyptian government continues to address outbreaks of Hepatitis C, malnutrition amongst minors, and various women’s health issues, but the need for additional health services remains high, especially among poor and rural communities.
The Health Programme is one of the three Essential Programs of BLESS, meaning that every community BLESS serves will receive medical support. BLESS is currently providing health and medical services to 145 communities all throughout Egypt.
