The Environmental Development Program

The Environmental Development Program aids in fulfilling a segment of SDG 13 by:

• Enhancing water quality through the reduction of pollution, cessation of waste and chemical dumping, and the amplification of recycling and safe reuse globally, by 2030.

Cleaning Campaign

El Zaar is a small village,  located in Minya  Governorate. The residents suffer from piles of garbage waste including the village canal banks.  The environmental development and community empowerment & sustainability  programs cooperated and organized a cleaning campaign with the local  council in Delga and integrated the residents of the village. In addition, the program established a waste management committee to discuss the problem of waste management fines and  garbage compilation in the village, and made several initiatives to overcome this problem. Finally, the committee and the residents succeeded to remove 148 tons of  waste from local streets.
