Signing a protocol with The Veteran and War Victims Association facilitated providing 40 beneficiaries with prosthetics.
Marina Fahmy is eight years old and had a speech impediment. People had trouble understand her when she spoke and teachers at school found it difficult to communicate with her. When she came to the center, she was provided with speech assessments, and language tests which showed that Marina had linguistic developmental delay and speech disorders; stuttering and articulation errors. Subsequently, the program developed a rehabilitation plan for her after detecting her speech impediment. After six months of the rehabilitation plan, her speaking skills started to improve. She is now better at articulating sounds, speaking clearly, and people can now understand and communicate with her.
