In a heartwarming scene, the “Rise and Walk” Center, affiliated with the Bishopric of Public and Social Services at the Cathedral of St. Mark in Abbassia, hosted a special celebration to honor the mothers of children with special needs — recognizing their remarkable role in supporting their children and guiding them on their path toward progress.

As part of its ongoing efforts to improve education quality in rural areas, the Improving Standard of Education Program at BLESS has launched a new “Tree of Life” class in Manjough village, Sohag Governorate.
A total of 51 children from grades 1 to 3 in primary school are benefiting from this class, which aims to help them review their lessons in Arabic, English, and Mathematics in a supportive and engaging learning environment.
The class is designed to:
• Strengthen children’s academic skills
• Increase their self-confidence
• Create a positive learning experience that leads to success.
“Tree of Life” is more than just a classroom—it’s a new beginning toward better education and a brighter future for our children.

As part of our commitment to improving children’s health in underserved communities, the Primary Health Care Program at BLESS conducted comprehensive medical checkups for 43 children in El-Sawama’a village – Sohag Governorate.
Following the examinations, 30 children were referred for necessary lab tests to detect signs of malnutrition and monitor growth indicators.
Children identified with health concerns or nutritional deficiencies will be enrolled in a follow-up program that includes:
- Regular health monitoring
- Comprehensive nutritional support
- Awareness sessions on healthy nutrition
